These are a type of rollator that include a seat as well. These seats can be anything from reinforced fabric strips to padded seats and the rollator may or may not include a backrest as well.
Beyond giving you a little extra support while walking, this type of rollator offers you a place to rest, should you need it while out and about. It gives you the opportunity to take the weight off your feet a moment before continuing on with your journey.
A rollator with a seat may be of benefit to anyone who needs support while walking but also finds that they occasionally tire and need a rest.
They also offer a useful place to rest while waiting for the bus or a ride to take you home, if other seating isn't available.
It's very important to set the parking brake on the rollator before taking a seat. This is to make sure that the rollator won't roll away without you as you go to sit down, causing a fall.
Make sure to check that the maximum user weight on your chosen rollator is right for you. If you're very close to the limit (e.g. the rollator is rated for weights up to 14st and you are 13st 9lbs) you may want to consider a different rollator with a higher limit as our weights can fluctuate throughout the year.
