Threshold ramps are ramps which create a ‘bridge’ between outside and inside

Threshold ramps help to access somewhere where there is an extra threshold to get over. They can be good for people who don’t know the height of the threshold or if the step heights are different either side of the door.

Wheelchair users or people with other mobility aids who have a UPVC door may benefit from using threshold ramps.

Before purchasing a threshold ramp, you need to double-check that the ramp you want to buy is the ramp suitable for the space available. Something else to keep in mind is that, as this type of ramp bridges the threshold, it would need to be removed before the door can be closed.
